Screen celebrates outstanding success at Ipex 2010

As the UK printing industry let out a collective sigh of relief when it became apparent that Ipex 2010 was a massive success, no one was more jubilant than Screen as thousands of visitors flocked to see its market-leading digital print, CTP and workflow products, generating orders that are expected to lead to sales worth around €7.5m worldwide.

The star of Screen’s show was the Truepress JetSX, the world’s first B2 full-colour duplex sheetfed variable printing system, with its four-times-daily demonstrations drawing large crowds. Much of the interest was from commercial printers attracted by the familiar format and eager to see the machine in action, and also existing Screen customers who expressed a trust in the company to bring a reliable, graphic arts orientated solution to market.

Screen PlateRite 8800 CTP series now available with punch less option

Screen has announced a version of its B1 PlateRite 8800 platesetter which has the facility to turn off the registration punch. This feature has been specifically developed for plate production for web presses, where punch holes are not required.

Pearson Print opts for Screen PlateRite 2055VR as part of expansion plans

Pearson Print, the Cheshire printer which produces top end work for advertising agencies, has installed a Screen PlateRite 2055VR visible light plate recorder as part of its move to B2 printing market, which it expects will double the size of its operation.

Aspect Graphics take on Screen as part of growth venture

An £800,000 investment programme that is designed to increase print capacity has seen Aspect Graphics, the reprographics division of the AE Simmons Group in Chelmsford, installing a Screen PlateRite 4300S, SAL4300II autoloader, stacking system and Trueflow v5 upgrade.

Screen installs first Truepress 344 in Russia

Screen CTP supports growth venture at Redlin Print
