Screen resellers recognised for outstanding achievement

This year’s “Screenie” award winners have been announced at Screen Europe’s recent international resellers’ conference in Amsterdam. Four companies received the prestigious sculpture in recognition of their outstanding success in selling Screen products and solutions.

The “Screenie” Mikado award for overall International Reseller of the Year was presented to Emirates Trans Graphics for commitment and dedication to customers, training and engineering support. The three ‘Shogun’ awards for outstanding achievement went to Fujifilm in Sweden, STAG in Portugal and TOMM in Saudi Arabia.

Founder Electronics launches Xaar 1001-enabled EagleJet C4200 single-pass inkjet printer

Founder Electronics, China (www.founder.com.cn) has launched the EagleJet C4200 digital printer, a single-pass narrow web inkjet system featuring Xaar 1001 greyscale printheads.

A full-colour UV printer, the EagleJet C4200 has been developed for on-demand commercial print markets in China. Production flexibility enables duplex mono and two-colour printing simultaneously, and duplex four-colour printing with a tandem configuration. The precision imaging capability of the industrial-strength Xaar 1001 printhead produces amazing print results (1080dpi apparent resolution) across the 420mm paper web width at speeds of 25 metres per minute.

Epson Inkjet Technology Enables Uniform Light Emission for Big-Screen OLED TVs

TOKYO, Japan, May 26, 2009 – Seiko Epson Corporation today announced it has established inkjet technology that enables the uniform deposition of organic material in the production of large-screen organic light-emitting diode (OLED) televisions. The new technology represents a major step toward the realization of 37-inch and larger full-HD OLED TVs by resolving the uneven layering that had previously been an issue with the inkjet method.

Xaar approves Chimigraf inks for the ceramics sector

Cambridge, UK – 26th May 2009 – Xaar extends its ink partner relationship with one of its first ceramic ink partners, Chimigraf, with the approval of four new inks for use with the Xaar 1001 printhead. These inks were developed in partnership with Chimigraf and Fritta S.L., who specialise in designing frits, glazes and ceramic colours to produce high-quality inks. These inks meet stringent quality control standards to ensure optimum performance and consistency.

Hymmen unveils the ‘Jupiter Digital Printing Line’ and opens the door for the Xaar 1001 printhead in the home décor market

Hymmen, manufacturers of specialist production lines for home décor products, today launches the Jupiter Digital Printing Line at Ligna in Hannover.

This innovative “single pass” printing system features the Xaar 1001 printheads to image a variety of decorative effects and graphics directly onto the surface of the substrate. This is the first time the Xaar 1001 has been used for the industrial production of laminate flooring or furniture and is a further endorsement of Xaar’s inkjet technology. With the sideshooter printhead architecture and TF Technology™, a new standard for the industrial use of digital printing is defined.
