When it came to replacing its platemaking system Walsall Metropolitan Council had a list of specific requirements that Screen’s B2 PlateRite 4300E matched perfectly.

Kevin Williams, Walsall Metropolitan Council’s Print and Design Manager, explained: “Because we were already used to our existing platemaking system we designed the tender specifications around what we knew we required. That way we could be sure the new system would have everything we needed.”

Cutting waste to cut costs was the aim of CEM Group’s investment in a Screen 4300S PlateRite platesetter but the spend has had the added bonus of boosting productivity by 30%.

What began as a long-term exercise to reduce outgoings has also increased capacity at the Nottingham specialist manufacturers of printed fabric and wallpaper swatches, according to studio manager Graham Fisher.
